This Canada Day, as we celebrate the freedom, peace, and landscape of the country we call home, we pause to remember the foundation those gifts were built upon.
Today is a day of gratitude—not just for our nation, but for the Canadian Veterans who stood up to protect it. From the battlefields of our history to modern peacekeeping missions around the globe, generations of brave service members have sacrificed their comfort, their safety, and in many cases, their lives for our flag.
Freedom is never free; it is earned by those who step forward when their country calls.
As you enjoy the fireworks, the family barbecues, and the community celebrations today, please take a quiet moment to honour our veterans and active-duty members. We owe them a debt of gratitude that can never fully be repaid.
Lest we forget. Happy Canada Day from Salute the Saviours.
