Sackville Lodge No 137 Supporting Healthcare in Our Community

On August 25th, Sackville Lodge No 37 was proud to contribute $7,662.60 toward the Cobequid Community Health Centre Foundation’s campaign to purchase a Mobile Digital X Ray Unit for the Cobequid Community Health Centre.

A mobile X ray unit will allow diagnostic imaging to be brought directly to a patient’s bedside. This can make a real difference for patients who are critically ill, elderly, or have difficulty being moved, while also helping healthcare teams provide more timely care.

We also want to recognize the Masonic Foundation of Nova Scotia and, in particular, its Matching Fund Program and Administered Funds Program. These programs allow Masonic Lodges to extend the impact of their charitable giving and support worthwhile projects that might otherwise be beyond the reach of a local Lodge.

Our thanks also go to the Cobequid Community Health Centre Foundation for the important work it does to improve healthcare close to home, and to everyone involved in bringing this much needed equipment to Cobequid.

For Sackville Lodge #137, this is what community service is all about: working together, supporting our neighbours, and helping make our community a little better.
We are proud to play a small part in making better healthcare possible, right here at home.

Pictured is Wor. Bro. David Conrad, Master of Sackville Lodge, presenting the cheque to Stacey Chapman, President and CEO of the Cobequid Community Health Centre Foundation.

St George's Lodge No 20

Earlier this year the foundation gave Northeast Kings Education Centre a grant for approximately $6500 to purchase new Chromebooks. I am enclosing these two photos. One is Vice Principal Ian Campbell of Northeast Kings Education Centre distributing the new Chromebooks and the second is of some of my AP Research 12 students with brand new Chromebooks purchased through the generosity of the Masonic Foundation.

These will be a long term asset to our students!

The same amount was granted to Evangeline Middle School and was equally appreciated.

Sincere thanks,
Floyd Priddle, IPM, St. George's No. 20

THE MASONIC FOUNDATION NOVA SCOTIA
On Saturday in Halifax, Wayne Savory, board member of the Masonic Foundation of Nova Scotia, presented a $100,000 donation to Mr. Matthew Todd, Treasurer of the Scottish Rite Learning Centre for Children.

This remarkable centre provides free, specialized tutoring to children living with dyslexia, helping them build confidence, develop essential reading and writing skills, and thrive academically.

The Masonic Foundation of Nova Scotia is honoured to support this program that changes lives every single day in Nova Scotia.
