Straw Free Coast BC

A local community initiative to remove plastic straws from establishments on the Sunshine Coast, BC. We invite you to say, “no straw, please” and to encourage our local restaurants and cafes to provide compostable alternatives.

Plastic straws will never compost - they will only break down into smaller and smaller pieces, finding their way into our water systems, animals, food, and inside us. Say NO to a plastic planet! Let’s act now to preserve our oceans and our wildlife by making sustainable consumer choices.
