Motorists should expect heavier traffic around Stone Road, College Avenue, University Avenue, Smith Lane and Victoria Road. 🚗

Pedestrians and cyclists travelling near campus are encouraged to use extra caution when travelling through busier intersections.

Heads up..

Forecasted storm severity is expected to increase later this afternoon into the evening. This includes an increase in risk for damaging winds, large hail, and torrential downpours.

Heavy rain can lead to localized flooding in some areas. City staff are monitoring conditions, including roads and catchbasins, to help keep water moving.

Please keep in mind:
➡️Don't park over catchbasins
➡️Treat non-functioning traffic signals as 4-way stops
➡️Stay away from waterways and flooded areas

Updates on closures will be provided as necessary.

82 bikes, trikes and scooters found new homes at this year’s ReCycle Bike Rehome and Repair event! 🚲

The ReCycle Bike Reuse Program gathers donated bicycles from across the community and distributes them free of charge to Guelph residents. It helps keep usable bikes out of the waste stream while providing a valuable community resource. This year’s event, held in June at Margaret Greene Park, brought community members together and helped connect riders with local cycling resources.

A special thank you to the volunteers from Freehub, who provided tune-ups, repairs and safety checks to help riders hit the road with confidence.

Time to clear some shelf space for a good cause! The Friends of the Guelph Public Library are now accepting donations for their 18th Annual Big Annual Book Sale.

From September 1 to October 9, bring your gently used books, sheet music, DVDs, games, puzzles, and vinyl to the Main Library, East Side Branch, or Westminster Square Branch.

The Book Sale will be held from October 22 - 25 at the Bamco Group's warehouse at 440 Elmira Road North. We hope to see you there!
