Chalmers is a registered charitable organization located in Guelph. Everyone living in Guelph is welcome to access our services.

Our primary focus is to offer food, hygiene products, diapers, animal food, and other programs throughout the year.

Did you know Chalmers has two locations in Guelph? Alongside our downtown location at 41 Macdonell Street, we are also located in the west end at 577 Willow Road.

Chalmers’ Willow Road location hosts a weekly food pantry and café Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30am. Stop by to pick up some groceries or simply join us for a light breakfast – it’s free and open to all! 💙

Thank you to our friends at Wellington-Duffrin Guelph Public Health for providing free oral and dental health services during Chalmers’ Thursday morning food pantry! 💙

Every guest received enough toothbrushes and toothpaste for everyone in their family, as well as basic oral healthcare and information.

Chalmers’ item of the month for August is hygiene products! We are in desperate need of shampoo, toothpaste, razors, soap, toilet paper and deodorant.

Chalmers is looking for both travel and full size products to meet the needs of our café and pantry guests. Many of our guests are unhoused and access to hygiene products is limited. These items are essential to helping provide dignity to our vulnerable community members.

In need of oral health services?

Join Chalmers this Thursday during our regular west-end food pantry for free dental and oral health services provided by our friends at Wellington-Duffrin Guelph Public Health.

Vaccinations for all ages will also be available and Tigrinya interpreters will be onsite.

Chalmers item of the month for July is cereal!

This year, Chalmers’ breakfast drop-in cafés are on track to serve more than double the 4006 guests served last year. Your donation of cereal helps ensure that Chalmers can continue to serve our growing number of café guests, as well as keep this staple item on our food pantry line.
