Scouts Canada - Wellington Area takes in the City of Guelph as well as the surrounding towns and villages of Aberfoyle, Belwood, Elora, Erin, Fergus and Rockwood. Scouting makes a difference in the lives of children, youth and young adults. Providing opportunities for youth to grow, achieve new "firsts" and develop into citizens of the world. Scouts are more likely to demonstrate greater self-conf

idence and optimism about what the future holds. They express a strong sense of civic responsibility and have a desire to “pay back” the community. They become more physically fit, energetic, outgoing, conscientious and compassionate. Scouts Canada - Wellington Area offers five challenging programs for boys, girls, and young adults aged 5 – 26. These programs include:

Beaver Scouts (Ages 5-7) Beaver Scouts Fun and friendship is the cornerstone of the Beaver Scouts program. Beaver Scouts opens the door for your child to discover the world. It is filled with a little bit of everything – outdoor activities, games, music and sports. Along the way, Beaver Scouts meet new friends, learn. Cub Scouts (Ages 8-10) Challenging hikes, weekend camps, and an introduction to water activities like canoeing or kayaking are just a few of the fun outdoor adventures that Cub Scouts enjoy. With the Cub motto of "Do Your Best" front and centre, Cub Scouts are encouraged to try new and more challenging activities. Scouts (Ages 11-14) Scouts is about having fun while gaining value leadership skills and self-confidence. Scouts enjoy outdoor adventures like mountain biking, rock climbing and lots of camping while working together with other young people to accomplish thrilling challenges. Scouting gives every member a chance. Venturer Scouts (Ages 14-17) The Venturer Scout program offers exciting, real life, hands-on experiences for youth. Venturer Scouts learn to nurture an active, healthy lifestyle, acquire the knowledge and skills for career development and participate in thrilling outdoor adventures.
