The farm is thriving! 🌱
It's exciting to watch the gardens come to life. Our plants are growing strong, we've installed trellises to support our peas as they climb, and the flower beds are bursting with colour and attracting all kinds of beneficial pollinators.
We're also seeing our asparagus patch begin to bloom—a beautiful sign of a healthy and productive growing season ahead!
One of our favourite moments this week was capturing a busy bee hard at work pollinating the asparagus flowers. 🐝
👀 Can you spot the bee in the photo?
Let us know in the comments when you find it!
🍅 Free Tomato Plants Available! 🍅
We have some extra tomato plants looking for a new home. If you'd like to grow your own tomatoes this season, feel free to stop by the farm and pick some up! The plants can be found beside the pile of soil (as shown in the photo) and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Flour Mill Community Farm. Every season brings new growth, learning opportunities, and connections with nature, and we're grateful to share it with our community. 🌻💚
