All though this is a free event we do understand and appreciate the time and resources it takes for guests to create the items to swap with. We had such an awesome turnout at our last host and can't wait to see all the beautiful handmade products at this one it

Ever wanted to try a sound bath before? This is the perfect way to meet new people and experience healing like never before 🎀

Girls That Do Things is hosting a Sound Bath and Mindfulness Meditation on September 22nd from 7:30pm-830pm in downtown Grande Prairie, AB! We are so exited to host this unique event to provide a relaxing night for the girlies of the city. From meeting new people, experiencing new sounds and frequencies, to the chance to win a fun door prize - this is an opportunity you do not want to miss 🥰

What to expect:
-Find parking downtown near Second Chance Reads
-Arrive and be greeted by host
-Get settled in a spot with your mat, and other comfort items you brought (water, pillows, blankets)
-Be guided by host through a small meditation before the sound bath begins!
-Enjoy uninterrupted peaceful harmonies for 45 minutes, focusing on positive thoughts and energies.
-Leave feeling more refreshed!

Soundbaths are the easiest way to match positive frequencies via sound healing. Combined with guided meditation it’s known to help reduce stress and inspire the nervous system to relax, even if it’s just for a few minutes

Join Girls That Do Things for a workshop like no other!

Tarot, Sound bowls, and more… let’s take time to reflect on what this years brought so far and how we can feel more ourselves these next few weeks before the holiday season kicks off!

Fall can be a busy season but it’s always important to take time for ourselves and focus on our goals and own needs - sound bowls are the perfect way to create a calming atmosphere against any stressful times. Tarot can help to inspire us to improve on areas of our life we feel doesn’t align with who we are : )

** This is a free workshop Ember & Stone Curiosities to allow those who are new/curious about tarot or sound bowls to come and learn something new and try the instruments out ✨

This workshop is for all the woman of Grande Prairie who feel welcomed to an afternoon of chatting, writing, and exchanging knowledge 🧙🏼‍♀️

We hosted our first ever Sunday Swap a few weeks ago and can not help but get so excited thinking about our next one ✨

Last swap was a blast and we are always on the look out for more people who love to make things by hand or support female ran small businesses - We are aiming to have another swap near end of September or early October!

We have so many exciting events planned for the next few weeks in celebration of fall and “spooky” season around the corner. Make sure to stay up to date on socials to see RSVP links posted for upcoming activities, now that summer is over - we are back and better than ever ✨

These next few months start to get busy with back to school/end of summer routine. Join Girls That Do Things for our next few events to meet new people, relax, and take apart in unique experiences with fun people !
-September 15th - Sound Bath & Tarot Lessons + Knowledge Exchange
-September 22nd - Sounds Bath and Guided Mindfulness Meditation

Girls That Do Things started back in January this year to aim to connect woman in the city outside of work and family settings to promote female friendships and shared experiences. We are so happy to host events provided by volunteers and catered to the everyday working woman, mom, daughter, student, and any person seeking an all girly community space 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻

We appreciate any feedback available to help us grow our community and improve any potential opportunities we may have missed. Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey so far with us, we appreciate all the local support from small businesses and the community of Grande Prairie 💓

Last walk of the summer tonight, let's make it a big one!!!

Hey Girls That Do Things, this is a perfect opportunity to catch some sun and meet some new faces 🙂

Join us for our last walk tonight before we start up our fall walking group in a few weeks. All woman of all ages welcomed, new timers encouraged to come make some new friends and enjoy some fresh air ☀️

This is just your weekly reminder that Girls That Walk is still happening this summer 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻

Every Thursday at 7pm for the rest of July!

📍Meet at Muskoseepi Park, infront of bridge near Grande Prairie Museum across from the ice cream and mini golf

This walk is opened to all ages and encourages woman to get to know each other in sharing fun conversations and enjoying some fresh air together! The walk is estimated an hour as we take the loop around the pond, behind the collage, past the campground, back to the meeting spot near museum.

No RSVP needed, just show up 💓

This is a reminder to those who signed up that our classes are just around the corner….

We will have one designated Girls That Do Things team member for each workout so please feel free to ask us any questions you may have, our instructor will be a great resource too for any first rider jitters or concerns!

for We are so beyond grateful to have been donated two free classes by Lagree for the community of Girls That Do Things. Sign ups filled up within 2 days and we are already getting ready for our intense workouts tomorrow!
