The Bootleggers Board sends our condolences to our friends with the Grande Prairie Stompede Association and all those who knew and loved Bernie.

🏆🐎 Congratulations to Logan Gorst, the 2026 recipient of the Richard Cosgrave Memorial Trophy for Safety!

Named in honour of legendary chuckwagon driver Richard Cosgrave, the award recognizes the driver who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to safety throughout the Rangeland Derby; from responsible decision-making on the track to the care and well-being of their horses and team.

Safety is at the heart of chuckwagon racing. It takes skill, experience, discipline and a deep respect for the horses and everyone who makes this sport possible. To be recognized with the Richard Cosgrave Trophy is one of the highest honours a driver can receive.

Congratulations, Logan, on this well-deserved recognition! 👏🏆
