A special congratulations to all of this year's award recipients. Your commitment, leadership, teamwork, and achievements have been recognized, and you should be very proud of all you have accomplished.

Please join us in congratulating our Squadron Sponsorship Committee Chair, Shaun Krysa, on receiving a Certificate of Exemplary Service from the Air Cadet League of Canada Ontario Provincial Committee!

The certificate was presented by Debbie Fletcher in recognition of Shaun’s outstanding dedication, leadership, and continued support of the 85 Tornado Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets and our cadet program. His hard work behind the scenes helps create incredible opportunities and experiences for our cadets and contributes greatly to the success of our squadron.

Thank you, Shaun, for your commitment to supporting youth in our community and for everything you do for 85 Tornado Squadron. This recognition is very well deserved!

A huge thank you to the Orangeville Lions Club for their incredibly generous donation of $5,000 to the 85 Tornado Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets!

We are so grateful for the support from the Lions Club and the Orangeville Lions TV Bingo team. Contributions like this help provide valuable training opportunities, activities, equipment, and experiences for our cadets throughout the year.

Thank you as well to Lion Art Sinkis, Lion Randy McLelland, and everyone involved for making the trip to Grand Valley to present this cheque in person. Your support of youth in our community truly makes a difference.

We are proud to have such amazing community partners behind our squadron. Thank you for helping our cadets learn, lead, and succeed!

Congratulations to our Biathlon Team on earning their Biathlon Participation Pins! 🎯❄️

This week we had the opportunity to recognize the cadets who represented our squadron at the biathlon competition last fall. Biathlon is a challenging sport that combines endurance, focus, and precision, and these cadets demonstrated determination and teamwork while competing.

We’re proud of the effort and dedication each of you showed both in training and on competition day. Your hard work paid off, and these pins are a well-deserved recognition of your commitment.

Promotions in cadets don’t just happen — they represent commitment, leadership, teamwork, and a willingness to step up and support others. Each of these cadets has shown growth, responsibility, and a strong example of what it means to be part of our squadron.

Don't forget to bid on our awesome silent auction donations, enter our raffles, and participate in the 50/50 draw. We take cheques or e-transfers, but cash is king.
