HURON SANDS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Huron Sands Non-Profit Homes, is a non-profit organization in Goderich dedicated to, geared to income housing and is currently seeking community-minded individuals to serve on its Board of Directors.
This may be an exciting opportunity for professionals, community leaders, and advocates to contribute their expertise and passion in a meaningful way. As a board member, volunteers will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization and helping expand its impact across the community.
“We’re looking for individuals who are not only aligned with our mission, but who are also ready to bring their insights, leadership, and enthusiasm to the table,” said Property Administrator, L. Armstrong. “This is more than a volunteer role – it’s a chance to help drive real change within the community.”
Key responsibilities of board members include: attending regular board meetings (typically monthly); participating in strategic planning and governance; and serving as ambassadors for the organization in the community.
Prior board experience is welcomed but not required. Huron Sands Non-Profit Homes encourages individuals from diverse backgrounds and professional sectors to apply, especially those with expertise in areas such as finance, marketing, legal, nonprofit management, community development, etc.

Huron Sands Non-Profit homes partners with the county to support geared to income housing. Geared-to-Income (GTI) Housing is a type of subsidized housing where rent is based on a household’s income, rather than market rates. Typically, tenants pay around 30 per cent of their gross monthly income for rent, making housing more affordable for individuals and families with low or moderate incomes.
