The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops has released a collection of family-friendly activity resources for National Family and Life Week, with material designed for toddlers and preschoolers, children ages 5–8 and 9–12, youth, and parishes.

The activities encourage prayer, reflection, conversation, and simple moments of faith lived together at home. From games and colouring activities for young children to reflection exercises and family discussion prompts for older children, the resources offer practical ways to participate throughout the week.

One hundred couples gathered in Strathroy this past November for our Marriage Conference, Breathe Hope, featuring Gerald and Denise Montpetit from Cat.Chat Productions.

The day focused on communication, unity, and the practical realities of married life. Through talks, discussion exercises, prayer, and time together, couples reflected on the habits and patterns that either strengthen or strain a relationship over time.

One of the strengths of the conference was seeing couples at every stage of marriage gathered together, from newlyweds to couples married more than fifty years. The day offered practical insight, honest reflection, and encouragement for couples seeking to continue growing together.

If you missed the conference, or would like to revisit the talks, recordings are available online ➡ https://famfi.ca/marriage/breathe-hope/

Thank you to all the men who participated in the Men of Service Retreat this past weekend at the John Paul II Family Centre!

A new shed, a new sign, and a number of other projects were completed around the property. These improvements will support the Centre as we head into a busy summer of camps and programs.

We are grateful for the time, effort, and skill that was given so generously.

What does a full week of family camp make possible?

From July 12–17, 2026, Family Camp offers families the time and space to settle into a new rhythm at the John Paul II Family Centre in Port Burwell.

Each family stays in a private cabin, with all meals prepared by kitchen staff. Days are shaped by unstructured time for swimming, hiking, sports, games, and simply being together, along with optional opportunities for Mass, the Rosary, and parent discussions.

This is a chance to share real vacation time as a family in a setting that supports rest, connection, and community.

Cost is $1,600 per family, with a deposit option available.
