🌲 The Future of Industry is Rooted in Shared Stewardship.

True sustainability requires more than just technical innovation; it requires a fundamental shift in how we relate to the land and to each other. We are honoured to present the next chapter of our Green Horizons Lighthouse series, featuring the visionary leadership of Natoaganeg First Nation.

In this feature, Chief George Ginnish and the Natoaganeg community demonstrate how the transition to a green economy is inextricably linked to Economic Reconciliation. By integrating traditional ecological knowledge with sustainable industrial practices, Natoaganeg is not just participating in the green shift—they are defining it.

Their story is one of resilience and forward-thinking partnership. It proves that when industry and First Nations communities work in authentic collaboration, we create a blueprint for a low-carbon future that is both environmentally restorative and economically inclusive.

📺 Watch the full video below to learn how Natoaganeg First Nation is leading the way in anchoring New Brunswick’s position as a global leader in sustainable, community-led development.

🎥 What Do the ECE Lab Prototypes Actually Look Like?

This video from the Early Childhood Education Lab series gives a clear overview of the prototypes that emerged from our collaborative work — real, practical ideas that we can test, adapt, and use to strengthen early childhood education systems. These tools are designed to be applied in real settings and help address challenges the sector has identified firsthand.

If you’re curious about what co-designed solutions look like in practice — and how prototypes can move insight into action — this overview is well worth a watch.

🎥 Early Childhood Educators as Leaders — Not Just Practitioners

This video from the Early Childhood Education Lab series highlights how early childhood educators (ECEs) bring leadership, insight, and influence to the work they do every day. Far from being behind-the-scenes, ECEs are thinkers, collaborators, and change agents who shape learning environments, guide peers, and contribute to broader system improvement.

For anyone interested in how education systems evolve, this conversation is a powerful reminder that the people closest to the work offer some of the most valuable perspectives.

🎥 Impact Through Collaboration — What the ECE Lab Process Teaches Us

This video from the Early Childhood Education Lab series shows how real impact emerges not from individual ideas alone, but from collaborative learning, shared experimentation, and collective problem-solving. The Lab model brings together diverse perspectives — educators, administrators, families, and system leaders — to understand challenges deeply and co-design practical responses.

If you’re interested in how collaboration can drive meaningful change in complex systems like early childhood education, this conversation offers insights into why process matters as much as outcome and how co-creation fuels action.

🎥 Early Childhood Education as a Career — A Vital and Rewarding Path

This video from the Early Childhood Education Lab series shines a spotlight on ECE as a career — not just a job, but a profession with depth, purpose, and real impact. It explores what draws people into the field, the skills and values that sustain them, and the opportunities and challenges they encounter along the way.

If you’re thinking about career paths, workforce development, or how to better support those who educate and care for young children, this conversation offers valuable insight on why ECE is both meaningful and essential.

🎬 Early Childhood Educators Are Foundational to Our Society

This video from the Early Childhood Education Lab series highlights a truth that deserves far more recognition: early childhood education is foundational to how our societies function, and the professionals who do this work are essential to our collective wellbeing.

ECEs support children, families, labour markets, and communities — yet their expertise is too often undervalued or misunderstood. This conversation focuses on ECE as a profession, the skills and judgment it requires, and why strengthening early childhood systems is not a “nice to have,” but core social infrastructure.

🎥 Turning learning into action in Early Childhood Education

This video series captures conversations from the Early Childhood Education Lab, bringing together practitioners, educators, researchers, and system leaders to explore real challenges — and practical ways forward — in early learning systems.

What makes this work especially valuable is the focus on what comes next. Beyond the conversations, the ECE Lab has produced prototype packs, insights, and tools designed to help people working in the sector mobilize what was learned — from testing new ideas to strengthening collaboration across roles and organizations.

If you’re working in early childhood education, workforce development, policy, or community services, this is a rich resource for translating insight into practice.

New Brunswick’s 🌱 Climate Change Action Plan 🌱 sets the stage for a future-ready province. With its focus on cross-sector collaboration and adaptation, the policy framework is robust – but there’s a gap where SMEs are concerned.

Small and mid-sized businesses know the risks posed by climate change. Flooding, insurance spikes, and shifting market standards aren’t just headlines – they’re realities on the ground. While the provincial plan creates momentum, NB’s SMEs need tools and incentives tailored to their unique challenges. Cost, uncertainty, and not knowing where to start often slow progress, even for businesses motivated to adapt.

➡️➡️➡️➡️ To truly move the needle, policy must become practical. That means breaking down high-level strategies into step-by-step guidance, shining a light on pathfinders in the SME community, and introducing clear financial incentives. When stories from local businesses drive home real results, readiness spreads – and action follows.

New Brunswick is building the foundation for adaptation 🧱🧱🧱 The next chapter: translating strategy into business realities that help SMEs thrive, compete, and demonstrate leadership in a climate-resilient economy.
