Honouring The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It is a time to listen, learn, remember, and reflect on the ongoing journey toward reconciliation.

Today, Dave Brown was honoured to attend a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation observance in Moncton with Elder Augustine and singer Francis. Several other observations were set about the province with Local 37 members in attendance.

IBEW Local 37 was invited to speak about the importance of Truth and Reconciliation and the work being done within IBEW to support this ongoing journey.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to listen, learn, and be part of these important conversations.

"Today I had the honour to represent IBEW First District (all of Canada) on the international stage as the IBEW First District International President’s Committee delegate. I am extremely humbled by the opportunity to represent this fine organization. What made this conference even more rewarding, was experiencing a conference of this scale with 9 delegates from local 37. I am proud of our local and its members. Congrats to our new International Vice President Matt Wayland!"

We were honoured to see the IBEW First District Veterans Committee present plaques to Locals that have established Veterans Committees.

Congratulations to our FireFit team!

What a showing at this year’s FireFit Nationals/World event in Fredericton, NB, and the Regional event in New Glasgow, NS!

Our team brought home multiple podium finishes, including several 1st-place finishes across individual, tandem, team, and relay events.

A huge congratulations to everyone who competed and represented IBEW Local 37! Your hard work, teamwork, and dedication truly paid off.

Way to go, team!
