Our new signs went up tonight at the Echo Creek Wildlife Sanctuary on B-Say-Tah road. This is phase 1 of a trail system for wildlife and wilderness enthusiasts that winds through the wetlands of the beautiful Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation property bordering Echo Lake. Thanks goes out to the Fort Wildlife Board for coming out to install, Jerry Banks for constructing the sign frames, Limelight Signs & Design for the design and printing Mission Ridge Winter Park for donating the equipment and fuel, Jackson Bros for operating. These trails are open to all SWF members - get your membership today at Solvey Motors & Autobody Shop LTD, Prairie Valley Pet Services or any board member and please remember - Take only Photos and Leave only Footprints!

Please read the message below from the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation's Executive Director Darrell Crabbe. Questions or concerns should be forwarded to SWF Head Office.

"The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF) Board of Directors have decided that SWF Habitat Trust Lands WILL NOT be open for Elk Hunting in WMZ 39, The RM of Stanley or the RM of Leask to accommodate the recently announced Extended ELK Hunt in those areas from March 10 -31, 2025.

This decision is based on the ethical concerns of harvesting cow elk who are just a few weeks away from calving.
The SWF supports providing compensation for all producers that are experiencing losses due to wildlife damage and that hunting opportunity allocations for the Fall 2025 Elk Seasons be implemented in accordance with the Game Management Plan. "
