At Small Economy Works we are deeply proud to live, work, and collaborate across Canada on the traditional territories of many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples.

Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we want to shine a special spotlight on the incredible Indigenous entrepreneurs inspiring the way across Northern communities. Operating a business in the North requires a unique blend of vision, adaptability, and deep community connection.

From navigating distinct challenges to blending cultural traditions with forward-thinking strategies, Northern Indigenous business owners aren’t just building enterprises - they are building small economies and inspiring the next generation.

We are incredibly grateful for the privilege to listen, learn, and partner with innovators from coast to coast to coast. Your leadership, resilience, knowledge and creativity shape a stronger, more sustainable future.
