Another WBRRA bridge built past Y hill area towards dump along top ridge trail.

We’re about 95% done but it’s still usable by sxs. We decked it at 72” ish Could use more decking for Atv use.

Update she’s ready to ride on now.

WBRRA built another bridge today across horse as you enter rivers edge trail, this could not be done with out these gentlemen helping volunteer and our great sponsors this year!! Alberta Off Highway Vehicle Association Thank you!! We have plans for several more as time allows us to get out before freeze up. You will also see another trail edge clean up day on half of abasand loop, stay tuned!!

Don’t forget about our next Halloween ride October 24 also!!

If You want this to happen we suggest filling out survey and attending one of the following open house’s. This isn’t just a flip of a switch to make happen, there has been thousands of hours prepping for this, we need some patience to allow for proper planning and safety measures are in place.
It’s up to the riders to have and keep this type of freedom.

The goal is to provide designated routes to the provincial trail network that support safe and responsible use, while helping reduce OHV use on neighbourhood trails and municipal greenspaces.

Your feedback will help identify opportunities, concerns and neighbourhood-specific considerations before recommendations are brought forward to Council.

Friendly Reminder to Our Riding Community 🏕️🌲

WBRRA would like to pass along a friendly reminder regarding local trappers who live and work in areas that many of us enjoy riding throughout the year.

Trapping is an important part of their livelihood and way of life, and we ask everyone to please respect all traps, equipment and traplines you may come across. There have been instances in the past where traps have been intentionally set off using sticks or otherwise tampered with. Please remember that interfering with or tampering with someone’s legally placed trapping equipment is not permitted.

We also ask riders to respect trappers’ cabins and private belongings. If you come across a trapper’s cabin while out riding, please continue on and give it some space. Do not enter locked cabins, use fire pits around the cabin, or use firewood and other supplies that belong to the trapper.

With hunting and trapping season upon us, there will be more people working and recreating in the backcountry. A little respect and consideration from everyone goes a long way.

We all share these trails and backcountry areas. Please ride responsibly, respect other users, leave trapping equipment alone, and give trappers and their cabins the space they deserve.

The trail that follows ridge line from Abasand is now usable up to gps pin drop. Let’s continue to work together to open more existing trails!!! Send us any volunteer hours you have spent cutting dead fall. Thanks everyone, more to come!!!!
