The Nishiiyuu Paataakusuun/Nishiiyuu Council of Elders mourns the passing of Robbie Dick Sr., who left us on September 29, 2025.

A dedicated member since the early 1980s, Robbie served on the board of directors after the Council's incorporation in 2016. Despite health challenges, he actively participated in Elders' gatherings, finding peace and hope among his peers.

Robbie was instrumental in advocating for the integration of traditional Eeyou healing methods within healthcare, contributing to the establishment of the Nishiiyuu Miyupimaatisiun Department.

His wisdom and powerful speaking touched many lives, and he was a cherished teacher of Eeyou traditions.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Elizabeth and the family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the Creator’s love.
