WANTED! BIG STRONG HANDS FOR VOLUNTEERING! TONIGHT AT 5!

Hope the summer is going well! The Garden project has been coming along and, with some amazing hands-on help, ground has been broke and work has begun! The volunteers doing the handiwork are doing some lifting and placing tonight; if you and/or someone you know can give a hand, another hand, or even just come and say hi, then come on out to the open lot just off the highway by Subway and up on the right (same side) tonight and do what you can!

5pm is when theyre looking for hands! To all that can come, or to those who have helped with anything so far, thank you for your contributions and we look forward to sharing more in the weeks to come!

While things continue behind the scenes, take a peek at the drafts that our group has been working on! The vision is there and, with the community behind us, will be brought to life in due time!

Thank you *so* very much for the interest already in the Foam Lake Community Garden; the project has blossomed into something that seems to be ramping up at a wonderful pace.

In the coming days, we will finalize on a location and begin work from there needed to get started ASAP. There will be donation sheets posted around town at local businesses/organizations in which you can make a contribution of your choosing; if you so choose! We also will be accepting e-transfers that go to our account here at the Foam Lake Credit Union (email also at bottom of post).

Starting this week, we will make public applications for those who wish to claim a plot of their own. The garden is set to have 24 sections to choose from and there will be no fee to do so; we will operate on a first come, first serve basis.

With 24 lots at 10 by 6 feet each, all in raised growing stand ups at 32 inches high, the garden is set to be self watering as well. We ask you to take care of both your section and to mind others but plant away!

We are fundraising for the construction and materials needed for the three planned raised stand ups; sitting roughly at $3200.00 for each. However, through the incredibly generous gift from an anonymous donor, we already have one of the three covered!! With your help, the other two won't be far behind.
