Congratulations to the Mayor of Edmonton Andrew Knack !!

You've set a great example of many would-be politicians that you can fight for the right causes, not cave to big money, and be true to your values and principles. I may not join you on council this time around, but looking forward to serving alongside you in different capacities to keep building a stronger Edmonton

Congrats as well to Mike Elliott - looking forward to supporting you in your role as councillor in pihêsiwin, and reach out anytime if I can help

The squad was out IN FORCE today in ward pihesiwin. We had our biggest ever day with the best crew - an incredible mix of our campaign stalwarts since Day 1, people who have joined our campaign throughout these few months, and a special appearance from the folks at .bike!

Earning the support of voters is the ultimate goal, but I am also floored by this immense show of support coming out today!

Also have to note this is the doorknocking crew only! There are other folks making calls, dropping flyers, and making sure we're pushing hard all the way to October 20. I promise I will find a way to recognize and thank you all!

Election day is just around the corner!

Do you have a plan to vote?

Here are some of the things voters should be thinking about:

- Do you know where your polling station is?
- How are you getting to the polling station?
- What time do you plan to vote?
- Are you voting alone or with friends and family?

Send us a DM if we can help you find your polling station or if you need a lift to the polls!

A parent post more than a candidate post, this is what happens when public services are pushed to the breaking point. We should admire the courage and resiliency (and creativity!) of the teachers in this strike, but should also hold in our minds that this was forced upon us all by overcrowded classrooms, unacknowledged complexity, and a system where the needs of a privileged few are prioritized over everyday people.

As both politician and parent, I'll stand for public services, equity, and government that prioritizes the needs of people over profits.

Weekly Recap at the Doors! As we approach 15,000 doors knocked this campaign, reflecting on the different needs and stories that we've heard all throughout the summer and autumn. Thanksgiving, Halloween, and of course the teacher strike bring home that the important things are family related - can we afford housing? Can we (and our pre-teen and older children) get around safely in the City. What happens when we won't invest in public services (as demonstrated by our education system, but applies to any of federal, provincial, and municipal levels)?

Roads, potholes, and noise pollution matter - but those are the basics. We deserve those things, and we need governments that think beyond the bare necessities.

An independent candidate works with everyone across all political stripes, and in this election, it also means being prepared to work with whomever Edmonton trusts to be our next mayor. I'm grateful that supporters and candidates from across the spectrum see their values reflected in our campaign!

And if anyone sees a Vote Jaffer /Jackie collab, send it along. There must be some out there!

Thank you CUPE Local 30 for the endorsement of our campaign!

Lots of talk about basic services in this election, and CUPE represents the skilled municipal workers who keep Edmonton running day in and day out. These folks are out before dawn, in the middle of night, and at all hours maintaining roads, green spaces, infrastructure. They are the people who clear the snow for our commutes and our parks beautiful for us to gather in. We don't get these basic services unless we support the people who provide them, and I am honoured to have earned their support in turn!

CUPE workers deserve respect, fair wages, safe working conditions, and they, along with all Edmontonians, deserve to be protected from privatization of public services.

Let's build a strong, accessible, and inclusive Edmonton for everyone!
