What a beautiful day it was!

Our Joint Family Picnic of the Oponganon sa Edmonton (OCHF Oponganon-Cebu Heritage Foundation) and CEBU Society of Edmonton was truly a success. ❤️

Daghang kaayong salamat sa Cebu Society of Edmonton for the wonderful partnership and for helping bring our community together. Thank you also to all the Bisdaks, families, and friends who joined us, brought food to share, participated in the games, and filled the park with laughter, friendship, and positive energy.

Salamat kaayo sa inyong oras, suporta, ug pag-apil. It was truly a day well spent, and we look forward to creating more wonderful memories together.

Magkita-kita na pud ta sa sunod! 💙💛❤️

Celebrating Philippine Independence thousands of miles from home, but never far from our roots. 🇵🇭

Grateful to join the Yakap Alberta Foundation in marking 128 years of Philippine Independence. And as Oponganons, we're especially proud to remember Datu Lapu-Lapu, whose courage and leadership remain a lasting symbol of Filipino pride.

From Opon to Edmonton, that pride lives on. ❤️💙💛

Maayong adlaw, mga Oponganon!

As the celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day continues, gi-awhag ang tanan nga moadto ug makig-uban sa maong selebrasyon nga gipasiugdahan sa Yakap Alberta Foundation. The event will be held at the Edmonton Hotel & Convention Centre from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

There will be exciting performances throughout the day, and our very own Batang Opon will also be taking the stage, so come and cheer them on!

I would also like to invite everyone to drop by and visit our OCHF Booth, featuring Datu Lapu-Lapu, the Philippines’ first national hero and the pride of Mactan.

See you there! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas, ug padayon ang Garbo sa Opon!
