We provide friendly, affordable, and secure housing & services to nearly 4,000 seniors in Edmonton.

We provide friendly, affordable and secure housing and services to close to 4,000 seniors in Edmonton. Our vision is to positively influence seniors’ quality of life in everything we do and our mission is to be leaders in friendly, affordable and secure housing and services for seniors. We offer a wide selection of seniors’ self-contained apartments and lodge accommodations throughout Edmonton, to

give seniors more choices of where they want to live. Since 1959, we have continued working with the community as an active partner in the important work of providing quality housing for seniors in Edmonton and its surrounding communities. Our self-contained apartment buildings and lodges offer accessible, affordable and safe housing in comfortable, supportive environments that promote opportunities for seniors to successfully age in place.

What a wonderful , celebrating the creativity and contributions of across our GEF communities. From a special musical visit by the Edmonton Chinese Philharmonic Choir Association to the 'Golden Threads' workshop with Connie Kobylko, and an intergenerational storytelling project with Queen Elizabeth High School students, the week has been filled with learning, laughter, and meaningful moments.

🎉 is here! We joined fellow at City Hall to kick off a week celebrating the theme 'Building Connection Across Generations'.

The United Way of the Alberta Capital Region 'Bridging Generations' photo exhibit was also featured highlighting the meaningful connections built between GEF seniors and Harry Ainlay Senior High School students through shared stories and creativity.

Thanks to the City of Edmonton - Local Government and Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council for bringing everyone together.

A big moment at GEF McQueen Place Lodge as we welcomed government and community leaders for an announcement.

The Honourable Jason Nixon announced new affordable housing projects across Alberta as part of a $323 million investment to deliver more homes, more quickly, and more affordably.
