Downtown’s corniest community tradition is back for its 27th year! 🌽

Join the Downtown Edmonton Community League on Saturday, Sep 12, 2026, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at Beaver Hills House Park for a free, family-friendly afternoon in the heart of downtown.

You’ll find free corn on the cob, free Credo coffee, face painting, Sapphire the Bubble Magic Fairy, DJ entertainment and activities led by the YMCA team. New and renewing DECL members can also spin to win gift cards from local downtown businesses.

Bring the family, meet your neighbours and celebrate the community that makes downtown feel like home. Corn and coffee are available while supplies last.

Help build a new park!

The City of Edmonton is developing a new park space at 103 Street and 100 Avenue, next to the Freemasons’ Hall.

Downtown residents are invited to see the proposed design and speak directly with the project team at a public pop-up information session.

Playful clouds are rolling in to O-day'min Park! ☁️

Join us in celebrating all things clouds on August 29th from 12 - 4PM in honour of Edmonton’s newest public artwork, "A Visible Mass" by Sanaz Mazinani!

The Cloud Party celebrations will include themed crafts with Craft for YEG and Alberta Craft Council, cotton candy, kid-friendly story time with Audreys Books Ltd., and more!

First phase of development is expected to begin with 1,500 residential units on the former Hudson’s Bay portion of the site, as well as a nordic spa, street-facing retail and other exterior renovations.

Westrich Pacific plans to acquire and redevelop Edmonton City Centre, with 1,500 residential units, new retail, entertainment and wellness uses planned.
