Summer Student Employment Opportunity
Location: Edmonton (In-Office)
Full-Time: 35 hours per week
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council (UCC-APC) is seeking a creative,
detail-oriented, and community-driven Summer Student (Communications, Events & Community
Programs) to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in amplifying the voice of our
organization and strengthening relationships within the Ukrainian Canadian community.
The successful candidate will support a variety of community relations, marketing,
communications, and fundraising activities. A key focus of this role will be to support UCC-APC
staff and volunteers in the planning, promotion, and successful implementation of the Ukrainian
Day Festival 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the promotional campaigns for community events, particularly the Ukrainian Day
Festival 2026.
Collaborate with committees and volunteers to ensure cohesive branding and messaging
across all platforms.
Support the Communications & Marketing team in compiling and managing digital resources
for Ukrainian newcomers.
Plan and coordinate various events and information sessions.
Ensure accuracy and relevance of content across social media channels and the UCC-APC
website.
Build and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders, sponsors, and
media partners.
Support the Volunteer Program, including recruitment, training, and task coordination.
