☀️ Please give a warm welcome to our D-litter! ☀️

These five little cuties are about 2 months old and have officially joined the WRHS crew! We’ve got a whole lot of cuteness, a sprinkle of silliness, and enough D names to make your tongue twist to unveil! 😹✨

First up is Dewie, the adorable grey tabby with his sister, Dorie, our sweet orange tabico! Next up is Darcy, our lovely orange tabby lady who's bringing ALL the ginger goodness! 🧡😻

Then we have Donny, a handsome long-haired grey tabby with some extra fluff to love, and last but certainly not least, we have Dougie, our sweet and easygoing grey tabby! 😎🐈

These little dudes and dudettes are just getting started on their next big adventure, and we can’t wait to watch their personalities blossom as they settle in so please stay tuned for more updates on these cuties as we get to know them! 🥰🐾

💝 Congratulations to this handsome gentleman, Rolo, on finding his purrson! 💝

It’s official! This dapper lad is off to his forever home, and we just had to share the adorable story of how it all happened… because, well, Rolo pretty much adopted himself! 🤭🐱

The moment his purrson entered the room, it was like he just knew they were meant to be. Without a second thought, this clever gentleman hopped right into her cat carrier and promptly gave himself a bath, as if to say, “Well, I’m ready to go whenever you are!” 😹🍫

Talk about making a great first impression! Who could possibly say no to such a charming little lovebug?! Luckily, the rest is happily-ever-after history! We wish Rolo and his forever family nothing but the best on their journey together. 🏡💕

This lovely gift basket includes a gorgeous fleece throw blanket, 2 mugs, a journal, puzzles, and more! This basket will be available for bidding at the Silent/Live Auction during The Big Bash ’26. 🐈‍⬛✨

🌼😻 Stop and smell the Marigolds! 😻🌼

Meet Marigold, a sweet and spunky little ginger gal who’s ready to bring a whole lot of sunshine into someone’s life! Just like her namesake flower, Marigold has a special kind of golden charm, and she’s got SO much love waiting to bloom. 🌻✨

Marigold is brand new to shelter life, so she’s still finding her footing and getting used to all the new sights, sounds, and smells. But even as she settles in, her sweet nature is already shining through! She loves affection, trusts easily, and is showing us that underneath those adorable ginger good looks is a heart full of sweetness. 😼🌷

This little blossom is still growing in confidence, and she’ll need a patient, loving family who can give her the time and space to flourish at her own pace. With gentle encouragement, cozy naps, and plenty of love, Marigold has all the makings of a beautiful little companion who will brighten your days like a garden in full bloom. 🌞🌺

Our annual Calendar fundraiser is back, and this year is extra special...it marks the FIFTH year of this incredible tradition! 🥳🐾

Our 2027 Calendar features many of the amazing animals we've had the privilege of caring for over the past 12 months. Each calendar is professionally and graciously printed by Dunrite Printing Services in Olds and is filled with adorable faces and heartwarming memories. 😻

The price is $25 per calendar with every purchase helping to fund ongoing veterinary care of our rescue animals. Your support truly makes a difference and helps us continue giving pets the second chances they deserve. 🐕💕

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to Sponsor Energy for their incredible generosity through their Country for Critters event! 🤠🎶

This incredible event raised over $250,000 in donations for 57 rescues and shelters across Alberta with countless teams working tirelessly to give animals the love, care, and second chances they deserve. And that's not all... TEN incredible pink Pawmobiles were given away to TEN very deserving shelters! 🚗✨

🌟💎 This little gem is waiting for her chance to sparkle! 💎🌟

Meet Ruby! At just 4 months old, this beautiful tabby is still figuring out the world around her, and she’s building her bravery every single day. She can be a little shy when you first meet her, but don’t let that fool you! 🤫

Give this sweet girl some time to feel safe and comfortable, and you’ll start to see her true colours shine. Beneath that shyness is a gentle, curious kitten with a playful side that’s just waiting to come out! 😻💐

Once Ruby settles in, she loves exploring her surroundings, playing with her toys, and getting up to all the important business of being a kitten. Ruby is cat-friendly but has yet to be dog or child-tested. She’s still learning that the world can be a pretty wonderful place, and with a little patience and encouragement, her confidence continues to grow. 🧶🐈

Ruby is looking for a special family who understands that the best things are worth waiting for. Someone who will let her take things at her own pace, celebrate her little victories, and show her that she’s safe, loved, and right where she belongs. 👑 Have you ever wanted a bestie who sometimes looks a little grumpy but secretly has the sweetest little heart in the world?! Meet October's Cat of the Month, Kiki! 👑

At 8 years young, this absolutely gorgeous, regal queen has perfected the art of ✨ Resting Grumpy Face✨… but don’t let that serious look fool you! Kiki is coming out of her shell more and more every day, and watching her blossom is such a beautiful thing. 😻🌱

Shelter life can be overwhelming for sensitive souls like Kiki, and she’s dreaming of something a little quieter, a little softer, and a whole lot more permanent. Think cozy naps, sunny window spots, gentle head scratches, and a patient forever family who lets her set the pace. 🌞

Kiki is cat-friendly, dog-friendly, and child-friendly, and she does best with slow introductions, gentle voices, and people who understand that trust is something precious to be earned. 💕

Kiki LOVES gentle head scratches, and while her affection might take a little time to bloom, trust us… the wait is worth it. ❗️Just a little heads-up that our hours are getting a tiny makeover from TODAY, October 12th to November 9th!❗️

During this time, WRHS will be open 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) from 10am - 12pm and by appointment only.

But don’t worry! In the meantime, us super cool volunteers will be making sure all of our furry friends are well cared for, loved, and simply living their best shelter-lives. 😎✨
