VEVA would like to invite all EV owners to take the GEVA global EV Driver Survey 2026.

The survey is global but also provides valuable insights into EV adoption and driver experiences in individual countries. Countries with at least 100 respondents will receive country-level results. These insights can help strengthen national advocacy efforts and support better EV policies, charging infrastructure and consumer information in your country.

The survey closes on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and takes about 7 minutes to complete. Results will be available publicly on November 3rd to GEVA Members and we will release the Global results on November 17th!

But to make this the biggest and most impactful survey ever done, we need your help! Please – as soon as you can – circulate the survey link to your members and anyone else interested. Post and share it on Social media and encourage others to share it, as well! Let’s see which countries can get more respondents than they produced in 2025!

The survey isn’t just global. It also provides valuable country-level insights into EV adoption and driver experiences. Your response can help improve charging infrastructure, consumer information, and EV policies in your country.

Where there's a will there's a way…

A German Tesla owner who posts as Efiber on X has converted a used Model 3 Long Range battery pack into a 79 kWh home energy system, giving the salvaged pack from a wrecked car a second life storing power from his 11 kW rooftop solar array. The numbers make Tesla's own home products look small, as a single Powerwall 3 holds 13.5 kWh and costs around $15,000 installed, meaning this one car battery beats five Powerwalls combined at a fraction of the price, with salvage Model 3 packs typically selling for €2,500 to €5,000. The build wasn't plug-and-play, requiring a hybrid inverter and custom control hardware to communicate with Tesla's high-voltage battery management system, but the result can run a household for days during a grid outage. It's a powerful demonstration of how much life remains in Tesla packs after the car is gone, the same durability that keeps used Tesla values strong.

There is to be free DC fast charging on the weekend of April 11 and 12 at the new Mercedes-Benz DC fast charging terminals around the lower mainland BC. Connecters are both CCS and NACS/Tesla. Locations we know about: Coquitlam. Also the west side of Tsawwassen mall/Salish Sea drive.

This Model S got upgraded from 85 to 100 kWh and is enjoying 15% (edit:17.65%) more free Supercharging. 😊

BC Hydro sets up a brand-new EV charging hub on the BCIT Burnaby Campus.

The hub features two 400-kilowatt chargers, which can add up to 100-kilometres of driving to an average EV in about three minutes. In addition to being the fastest on BC Hydro’s network, the chargers also offer power sharing so two vehicles can charge together on the same unit and receive up to 200-kilowatts each.
