⚠ Public Advisory: Province-Wide Fire Ban in Effect

A fire ban has been declared for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador due to elevated Fire Weather Index ratings and extensive wildfire activity in Labrador. The ban is effective immediately until July 17.

Last night we celebrated our 29th Annual Firefighter Ball. We want to congratulate Fire Chief Will Balsom with 30 years of service and Fire Fighter Anthony Alexander with 50 years of service and also to Gregory Osmond for being voted by his fellow fire fighters as Fire Fighter of the Year. Thank you to all the fire fighters who have dedicated their time to be a volunteer fire fighter. Thank you to all who came out last night to support us. Another great meal by Braketime Catering.

Thanks to all our department members and the mutual aid from Deer Lake Fire who responded early this morning for an awesome job on this major structure fire in our Town , also sending thanks to Tim Hortons and Salvation Army Deer Lake for the hot beverages and food supplied .
