Another great day in the shop! 🔨🪚

A few of the guys were back at the Portapique Community Centre workshop today, putting our heads and hands together and getting a little more work done on the space.

There’s something pretty special about days like this. Someone measures, someone cuts, someone holds the other end, and sooner or later somebody ends up on the floor trying to figure out how to make it all work! 😄

But that’s really what a Men’s Shed is about. It isn’t just what we build — it’s the conversations, the laughs, the sharing of skills and the friendships that happen while we’re building it.

Little by little, this workshop is becoming our Shed space, and we’re having a pretty good time getting there.

Another good day with the Men’s Shed Debert crew. 👍

🔨 MEN’S SHED DEBERT — WORKSHOP DAY! ☕️

We’re back in the workshop!

Join us Wednesday, August 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Portapique Community Centre Workshop for another Men’s Shed Workshop Day.

There’ll be projects on the go, tools in hand, coffee close by, and—most importantly—a chance to spend a morning with good people.

You don’t need to be a skilled woodworker or handyman. Come lend a hand, learn something new, share what you know, or just have a coffee and see what Men’s Shed is all about.

All men are welcome — come as you are.

🪚 Build something.
☕ Have a coffee.
🤝 Make a connection.
😄 Have a few laughs.

Many hands. One Shed. Stronger together.

Workshop Wednesday had a few of us roll up our sleeves in the Portapique Community Centre garage. We installed a fold-down workbench built from reclaimed plywood, a simple project that gives us a practical workspace while making the most of what we have. Every step brings us closer to having a welcoming space to share skills, tackle projects, and enjoy good company over a coffee. A big thank you to the Portapique Community Centre for generously sharing this space with us. Your support is helping us build more than a workshop. It’s helping us build community. Men’s Sheds: Health by Stealth, building community. One project at a time.

Wednesday 10am Shed workshop day, everyone welcome join us for coffee and lend a hand.
