Today our playschool crew had such a fun field trip to the Davidson Fire Department! 🚒🔥 The firefighters taught the children about their uniforms and equipment, showed them the fire truck, and answered so many curious questions. It was an awesome day filled with fun, learning, and excitement.

A huge thank you to the Davidson Fire Department, and a special thank you to Cory Dean and Logan Tennent for welcoming us and making the visit so memorable for our students! ❤️

🐰🌷 Happy Easter from the Davidson Playschool students! 🌷🐰

We just wanted to share one of our fun artwork activities from this week: our adorable bunny creations! 🎨

Along with this, we’ve been busy enjoying lots of hands-on fun like painting, tissue paper crafts, bouncy castles, sensory bins, and more. It’s been such a joyful and creative week!

The other day at Playschool, we read “The Smart Cookie” and followed it up with a puffy paint craft. The students created their own smart cookie and shared why they’re smart: with answers ranging from riding their bikes to learning their numbers ❤️. Activities like this help build confidence, encourage self-expression, and show children that being “smart” comes in many different ways. 🍪🎨

💖 Happy Valentine’s Day from our little friends at the Davidson Playschool Program! 💖

After reading a story together, our preschoolers created these adorable Love Monsters using a bit of process art. We love seeing how each child’s project turned out differently as no two monsters are the same!

Process art allows children to explore materials and make choices while building creativity and fine motor skills. Activities like these also highlight the importance of early literacy, showing how books spark imagination, conversation, and meaningful learning. 📚❤️
