Purple Day is a special time for me to reflect on my life with my wifey, a talented singer, an dedicated teacher, who lives with epilepsy. It’s easy to forget how much of a battle epilepsy can be, especially with someone like Karen who is lighting up a room with her personality. But behind the scenes, epilepsy is always there, a silent shadow that sometimes steals moments of peace.

As her wife, I’m constantly in awe of her strength and resilience. I’ve seen her face seizures with such grace, never letting them define her or her passion for life. But there are moments when it’s hard – the worry, the uncertainty, the hidden struggles. On days like today, I take a moment to remember how far we've come together. We’ve learned to manage, to cope, and to celebrate the small victories.

Purple Day is more than just a symbol for me; it’s a reminder of the importance of understanding and awareness. It's a day to show love and support, not only for my wifey but for everyone affected by epilepsy. We stand together, stronger because we know we’re not alone. Here's to raising awareness, spreading love, and hoping for a future with fewer seizures. I love you
