It is with heavy hearts that we make this post.

Our deepest condolences go out to all of Parker’s family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him.

Although we did not know Parker personally, this little boy touched all of our hearts. Like so many others, we hoped and prayed he would be brought home safe and sound.

We were honoured to be part of the incredible effort to search for Parker alongside so many dedicated search and rescue volunteers, police officers, firefighters, and everyone who gave their time and energy in the hope of bringing him home.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Parker’s loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.

May Parker rest in peace. 💙

Apologies for the late post. Mountain View Search and Rescue would like to send out a huge thank you to our amazing local grocery stores. Save on foods in Didsbury, Paul’s Independent grocers in Carstairs, and KC foods in Cremona for their wonderful food donations. These grocery stores helped us out during our annual May long weekend event while we were out west in the Ghost public land use zone serving our community’s and getting in some training. You helped make a cold wet weekend much more enjoyable with your wonderful food donations. Thank you so much from our entire team!!

Training continues for these dedicated professional volunteers throughout the long weekend, enhancing our skills, knowledge, and proficiency to ensure we are prepared and ready to respond when called upon to assist in locating potential survivors. We completed map and compass, map reading, bear spray training, wildlife hazards, Helicopter landing zone procedures for landing helicopters in the field in all weather conditions for Alpine and STARS, Specialized software training for our Geomatics, documentation control and writing for Incident Control System (ICS), vehicles training, safe transport of equipment and supply’s using trailers.
