Congratulations to our former office mates at Senior Support North Vancouver Island on their move to a new office!
While we'll miss having you just down the hall, we're glad you're not moving too far away and have an expanded space to serve the community. Sharing office space with your team gave us a firsthand glimpse into the invaluable support and services you provide in the Comox Valley and we're grateful for the opportunity we have had to support each other.

Announcing New Office Location in Courtenay!

We are excited to announce that Senior Support North Vancouver Island has moved to a new office space located at:
• 407-B 5th Street, Courtenay, BC.

This new location will provide a welcoming and accessible space for seniors and community members seeking information, support, and resources.

During the month of June, we will continue to share office space with the Immigrant Welcome Centre while we complete our transition into the new location.

On June 3rd, our services and regular office hours will continue and remain unchanged.

Office Hours
• Monday: By appointment only
• Tuesday – Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We look forward to welcoming both new and returning clients to our new home and continuing to serve seniors across North Vancouver Island.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact our office.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at our new location!

We are looking forward to hearing Harley's presentation at this year's online Restorative Justice Association of British Columbia Annual General Meeting - the presentation is open to everyone. The Community Restorative Justice Association of British Columbia had the good fortune to host a talk for the Comox Valley Community by Harley two years ago and the feedback was phenomenal!

What does cultural safety mean in restorative justice?

It’s a question worth reflecting on—and one we’ll be exploring together on June 16 with keynote speaker Harley Eagle.

Harley Eagle is an Indigenous educator, facilitator, and consultant whose work has inspired individuals, organizations, and communities across Canada.

Join us for a conversation on Cultural Safety in Restorative Justice as part of the RJABC Annual General Meeting.

June 16, 2026
6:00–8:00 PM (Pacific Time)

What a What a powerful day in Vancouver for the Law Foundation of BC Racial Justice Grantees Shared Learning Day.

This graphic recording by Adriana Contrera capturs the day beautifully. There was a lot of reflections thought the day on how much strength there is in relational, community-rooted approaches.
We always appreciate the chance to leave the Island to learn, connect and be inspired - and it always feels good knowing we are coming home to a place where cross-pollination and community care really shines, this is a real strength in our community and it is nice to zoom out and be reminded of it.

Thank you to the Law Foundation for
giving us space to breath, let go of urgency and just lean into connection. So thankful to be part of your community.

💙It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week 💙

While we do our best to celebrate our volunteers every single day, we couldn’t resist taking a moment to give a special shoutout to the incredible people who make this work possible.

We have 70 dedicated volunteers, some who joined us this year, and some who have been with the us for more than 25 years. Together, last year, they contributed a whopping 27,040 hours across many different roles.

With a small staff team, we truly couldn’t do what we do without you (and we definitely wouldn’t have as much fun.)

You make restorative justice possible in our community. Your wisdom, empathy, skills and the sharing of your time leads to real change in the Comox Valley.

Thank you for everything you bring to this work and to the Comox Valley and for the connection and joy you bring into our space each week.
