We’re pleased to share a positive update following last night’s meeting with the City Council and Committees regarding Development Charges.

Thanks to a productive and collaborative discussion, Development Charges have now been set at $5,000. More details will be shared as they become available.

A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to this outcome, especially Brad from the Cornwall Construction Association, John Cruickshank from the Ontario Home Builders' Association, and Fire Chief Matthew Stephenson for their strong presentations and advocacy.

We also extend our appreciation to the City of Cornwall and members of City Council for their willingness to listen, engage, and recognize the need for change.

This is a great example of what can be achieved through collaboration. We look forward to continuing to work together on future initiatives.
