A heartfelt thank you to TD Bank for being our session 8 sponsor!

What a special night - cold and clear, but lots of warm smiles and laughs. We also celebrated a huge milestone as all participants were able to challenge the big hills safely and confidently after working so hard.

Special guest appearance from Wes, aka Bammer Kidd. Wes shared how he became an international ski legend who promotes this great sport and his enthusiasm for life everywhere he goes!

A full-circle night, as Wes and Taylor’s relationship goes back to when Taylor was a kid at Georgian Peaks and Wes shouted encouragement to him! Taylor Nash is also a regular volunteer skier at Second Tracks and a bus ride cheerleader!

Some connections go back a long way.

John and Blake grew up together, and skiing was always a big part of their lives. It created opportunities, friendships, and experiences that helped shape where they are today.

This week, Blake and Marina from Blake Farrow Project Management joined us on the hill to sponsor a Second Tracks session and ski alongside our participants.

As Blake shared, he’s not sure where he would be without skiing. Supporting programs like this helps create those same opportunities for the next generation — giving kids the chance to get outside, meet new people, and discover a sport that can stay with them for life.

That’s a wrap on Session 1!

From first-chair nerves to confident turns under the lights at Blue Mountain Resort, what a few weeks it’s been.

For many of our participants, this was their first real opportunity to ski or snowboard in their own backyard. Watching that confidence grow week after week? That’s exactly why we do this.

Second Tracks is about access.
It’s about community.
It’s about showing kids that the mountain they see every day is for them too.

Session 2 is officially underway! 💪

A few weeks ago, the Soda Bros showed up in a big way - donating $2,000 to Second Tracks and spending the night skiing alongside our participants at Blue Mountain Resort.

Because of support like this, more local youth get the chance to stand at the top of the mountain and see their town from a whole new perspective.
