A forum to provide links and information about paddle sports and events within the region of Huron County Ontario.

This page was created to help others within the region who enjoy paddle sports. It will be a great way to meet others who are looking to get on the water and enjoy all our region has to offer. From organizing day trips down the river to updates about water levels, I will try to keep things as up to date as possible.

Piper's Dam on the Maitland River

A few HCPC members took the plunge into the Maitland River on Sunday February 25th at Piper's Dam. The sun was shining and with everyone wearing drysuits and the proper safety gear we had lots of fun! Unfortunately my camera kept turning off so I have limited footage but you get the idea.

White crane at Port Franks

The WILD LIFE we saw in Port Franks last night (other than Isaac Ward sliding down the dune) included a beaver, a muskrat, a painted turtle, blue herons and a white crane!

Last one for today, I promise, but I did save the best for last. Isaac Ward nails his roll MID RUN through the rapids, good job bud, it was great to see live, I hope the video does it some justice!

A couple vids of our afternoon on the Saugeen river outside of Walkerton. Unfortunately the audio isn't great as the recording device was in a waterproof case, also was unable to zoom in. Great spot, looking forward to going back. This particular video shows Andrea Mills boat taking a beating in a hydraulic below a small waterfall.
