We are so proud to share the work of COMMUNITY ANGELS Food and Housing Support Society and our Seniors Program, currently serving 800+ seniors every month. ❤️

*Running out of TYDEL FOODS*

For many seniors, the rising cost of food has made it difficult to afford the basics. Our program helps provide monthly meat, FREE fruits and vegetables, FREE non-perishable food items and items such as Ensure, Boost and pull-up pads FREE for the month.

But COMMUNITY ANGELS is about much more than one program.

WE ALSO PROVIDE :

• Free lunches Tuesday–Friday for seniors through our Resource Room

• Emergency response during fires, floods and other community crises

• Free food for hungry children who come into TYDEL FOODS

• Street outreach for people experiencing homelessness and addiction

• Support, compassion and connection for seniors battling isolation

And we need our community’s help to keep all of this going.

A Gift That Will Change Lives

Today, COMMUNITY ANGELS Food and Housing Support Society was blessed with an extraordinary gift of $25,000.

This donation came from someone who simply wanted to help. There were no cameras, no fanfare and no recognition requested - just a compassionate heart that believes every person deserves hope, dignity and a helping hand. Someone who believes in our mission.

To our anonymous donor, thank you. Your generosity will provide food, compassion and hope to some of the most vulnerable seniors in our community. Your kindness will make a real and lasting difference in countless lives.

Community Angels 😇 Food and Housing Support Society

A Gift That Becomes a Meal, A Meal That Becomes Hope

Today, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fairfield Sausage Co. for their generous donation to the COMMUNITY ANGELS Seniors Program.

This donation was personally dropped off at TYDEL FOODS on Patten Avenue and while it may look like a simple delivery, it represents something far greater. It means that seniors in our community who are struggling with food insecurity will have nutritious food on their tables. It means one less worry for someone choosing between groceries and medication. It means that our seniors are not forgotten.

Every donation we receive becomes part of a much bigger story

a story of neighbors helping neighbors and a community refusing to leave its most vulnerable behind.

At COMMUNITY ANGELS, we currently support over 800+ seniors each month with meat, fresh produce, fruit and non-perishable food items. We see firsthand the growing number of seniors who are struggling to make ends meet. Many have worked their entire lives and now find themselves having to choose between heat, rent, medication and food.

That is why donations like this matter so much.

💙 COMMUNITY REQUEST – WALKER NEEDED FOR A SENIOR 💙

We are reaching out to our amazing community for help. We are currently in desperate need of a walker for one of our seniors.

We are looking for:
✅ 4 wheels
✅ Built-in seat
✅ Basket or storage compartment
✅ Clean and in good condition (if used) or new

This walker will make a huge difference in helping a senior maintain their independence, safety, and dignity.

If you have one to donate, or know someone who may be able to help, please send us a message. Every act of kindness matters and helps remind our seniors that they are not alone. ❤️

A huge 🙏 THANK YOU

to Billie Sinclair and the amazing ladies from BC Women in Business for your incredible generosity and kindness toward COMMUNITY ANGELS Food and Housing Support Society and our Seniors Program. ❤️

Billie organized a fundraiser during their 10-Year Business Anniversary & Networking event and raised $250. which was turned into much needed groceries and non-perishable food items for seniors in our community who are struggling to put food on their tables.

Every single item donated comes into COMMUNITY ANGELS and goes right back out to seniors in need - completely free for the entire month. For many seniors living on fixed incomes, these donations make the difference between having food in the cupboard or going without.

We rely heavily on our community coming together to help support vulnerable seniors and we are so grateful for people like Billie who choose to care and make a difference.

Seeing those grocery bags filled with food is more than just groceries - it’s dignity, hope and love for someone who may be struggling quietly behind closed doors.

If anyone else would like to help our seniors, we are always in need of non-perishable food donations such as:

• canned fruits and vegetables
• soup
• pasta and rice
• cereal and oatmeal
• peanut butter
• canned meats and fish
• Ensure/Boost drinks
