🎉🌭🍁 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – TUESDAY, JUNE 30 & JULY 1🍁🌭🎉

We are still looking for a few volunteers to help with food preparation & outdoor decorations at the hall on Tuesday, June 30 starting at 5:00 PM. Even if you can spare just 30 minutes to an hour, your help would make a huge difference! ❤️

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ We are also seeking volunteers to assist at the concession and provide relief breaks for our hardworking volunteers throughout the day.

🌟 Please remember that all of these events are organized and run by dedicated community volunteers and the CVRA. Without the support of our community, it becomes increasingly difficult to continue offering these wonderful events and activities for everyone to enjoy.

💙 Thank you to everyone who has already stepped up to help. Your time, energy, and community spirit are what make events like this possible!

We’re also looking for a few more helping hands to assist at the concession during the event.

As a thank-you for your time and support, all volunteers will receive a free meal!

Hello Community!

We are excited to celebrate Canada Day with everyone on Wednesday, July 1!

We can’t wait to see the creative parade floats and amazing derby cars that our community comes up with this year. The day will also include a barbecue featuring hot dogs and hamburgers for purchase.

We are inviting local vendors and artisans to join us. If you would like to set up a table, please feel free to do so in the designated green space area. Vendors are responsible for bringing their own supplies, including tents, tables, chairs, and any other equipment they may need.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with event setup, concession operations, and cleanup at the end of the day. These community events are made possible entirely through volunteer support, andeven an hour of your time can make a meaningful difference.

If you are interested in volunteering or becoming a vendor, please reach out to me. We look forward to celebrating with you and making this year’s Canada Day a memorable one for our community!

Got scrap metal sitting around your yard? 👀

Now’s your chance to get rid of it AND help support the Columbia Valley Ratepayers Association.

There is a scrap metal recycling bin located at the Community Centre beside the parking lot for public use.

⚠️ SCRAP METAL ONLY PLEASE ⚠️

The bin will only be there for ONE MONTH as a fundraiser for the CVRA, so don’t wait too long to clean up those piles around your property.

Big thank you to Goodies Recycling for donating the bin and supporting our community.

🚨 CLEAN UP YOUR YARD & SUPPORT LOCAL 🚨

The Columbia Valley Ratepayers Association now has a scrap metal recycling bin available for public use at the Community Centre beside the parking lot ♻️

IMPORTANT: SCRAP METAL ONLY

This bin is only here for one month, so now’s the perfect time to clear out old metal while supporting a great local fundraiser for the CVRA.

Looking forward to 22 years of the Soapbox Derby this Canada Day! We've had some epic runs and pretty amazing carts over the years! Here are the rules: 1. No motor 2. Brakes of some kind 3. Racer must wear closed shoes and helmet. 4. Racer must be able to or have assistance pushing the cart to start line. No charge to race; signed waiver required. Comment below if you plan on racing!
