Featured Arts Fest Performer: Nadia Logist

Nadia Logist is a violinist and teacher based right here in Campbell River.

Classically trained, she holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the New England Conservatory in Boston and has performed across Canada, the United States, and Europe.

Her music blends classical influences with folk, fiddle, and Slavic traditions, as well as her own original music, inspired by nature, peaceful landscapes, and moments of stillness. She has released four albums, including original music and music inspired by Bulgarian folk traditions, available on major streaming platforms.

For Willow Point Arts Fest 2026, Nadia will weave this musical background into a lively and varied program featuring classical, folk, fiddle, film music, popular songs, and original pieces; bringing the expressive and joyful voice of the violin to the festival.

Until you come down for her set on Sept. 6 at 2pm you can find her at www.nadialogistmusic.com

Featured Arts Fest Musician: Mike Davies

Mike fell in love with music in the 90s, and you can certainly feel that fact in the music he creates.

His songs tell stories of loss, heartbreak and grief, but they also tend to be optimistic about the future, its possibilities and having resilience in the face of personal struggle.

His poignant lyrics and simple yet thoughtful musical compositions will get you thinking, and he’ll be leading off the event on Sept. 6 starting his set at 10am, so come down early to have a listen and hear what he has to say if you’re up for some introspection.

And make sure you go to the Facebook Event and say you're going so you get a reminder. Tons of amazing things happening at Ken Forde Park that day!

Jen did some serious work on our door over the last couple days and it looks so cute! Also I find it hilarious that she had to work around my "ghouls" stickers in the corners 🤣
