National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, Island Ignite invites you to pause, reflect, and listen.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is an opportunity to learn about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, to honour Survivors and the children who never returned home, and to consider our own role in reconciliation.

We encourage everyone to reflect on how we approach conversations about Truth and Reconciliation with openness, respect, compassion, and a willingness to listen and learn.

Reconciliation is not just about remembering today. It is about the conversations we have, the knowledge we seek, and the actions we take throughout the year.

Every conversation is an opportunity to listen, learn, and move forward together.

A sincere thank you to All-Ways Towing for providing four vehicles for the auto-extrication station at Island Ignite 2026.

Your generous support gave our participants the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience using real vehicles while learning essential auto-extrication techniques. These realistic training opportunities are invaluable in building confidence, teamwork, and practical skills.
