Its National House Plant Appreciation Day!

Looking for some low-maintenance plants? Here are three great options!

1. Christmas Cactus (Top Left): Needs bright indirect light. Plan to water every 2-3 weeks, but only water when the top one-third of the soil feels dry to the touch.

2. Philodendron (Bottom Left): Needs bright indirect sunlight. Water every 1-2 weeks.

3. Spider Plant (Right): Needs bright to moderate indirect sunlight. Keep the soil slightly moist. Once-a-week watering is fine in spring and summer; in the winter, allow the soil to dry a bit more between waterings.

Hey Hespeler the could use your help! Details below!

In June 2020, at the height of the COVID pandemic, HVNA started our Busy Bee Bag program as a way to stay connected to our community during a time of uncertainty. As an organization, our hope was to bring fun and joy to families, and offer activities to keep children busy while staying at home. Since we began, we have offered 88 Busy Bee Bag pick-up dates, and have made over 6,600 bags for our community!

Due to the overwhelming love for our Busy Bee Bag program, HVNA obtained multiple grants to support program continuity. However, as our organization strives to offer even more programs for our community, we are now looking to our community to offer feedback, which will inform a sustainable Busy Bee Bag program.
