Bisaya Lagi Connections

Bisaya Lagi Connections BISAYA LAGI!! Is a motivational and advocacy-driven platform honouring overseas Filipino Workers and their families. Welcome to BISAYA LAGI!!

We share inspiring stories, celebrate resilience, and connect communities - starting with Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental. At BISAYA LAGI!!, we are more than just a blog — we are a community-driven platform dedicated to uplifting, informing, and inspiring families of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), especially those working and living across Canada. This initiative was created with a heartfelt

mission: to bridge the gap between OFWs and their loved ones back home.We know the distance can sometimes feel overwhelming, so our goal is to keep families connected through truth, stories, and shared experiences that celebrate the sacrifices and triumphs of our kababayans abroad. What We Do

Motivational Stories – Real success journeys of OFWs who continue to work hard for a brighter future for their families. Informative Content – Honest, bias-free information that helps families understand the realities of life abroad. Community Connection – Celebrating not just the workers but also the families and communities who support them. Why It Matters

Behind every OFW is a family working just as hard to support their dreams. By sharing both challenges and victories, we honor their resilience, their sacrifices, and their vision for better health, education, and opportunities for the next generation. Each story is a reminder that determination, faith, and unity can overcome distance and hardship. Our Advocacy
We believe in recognition, celebration, and empowerment. Every achievement — whether big or small — is a collective victory for the Filipino spirit. Through shared narratives, we inspire each other to keep moving forward, no matter where life takes us. Our Partners
This program is proudly in cooperation with BIBSCORP (Buglas Institute of Butchering and Slaughtering Corporation), established by Engr. Jose Ronnie Fortin and Dr. Edgardo Dimalanta on September 18, 2014, and registered with TESDA. (Please visit our partner’s website for more information.)

✨ Together, let’s build a supportive space where truth, hope, and inspiration guide us. Welcome to BISAYA LAGI!! — your home for stories that connect hearts across borders.

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) in cooperation with the Department of National Defense and the City of Taguig will hold a commemorative program at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, Taguig City on 25 August 2025 for the observance of National Heroes Day.

With the theme ‘Isang Diwa, Isang Lahi, Isang Bayanihan,’ President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. will lead the commemoration as Guest of Honor with Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin, Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro, Jr., AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Romeo Brawner, NHCP Chairman Regalado Trota Jose Jr., and Taguig City Mayor Ma. Laarni “Lani” Cayetano also taking part in the observance.

Republic Act No. 9492 designated the last Monday of August as National Heroes Day, serving as an opportunity for the nation to remember the sacrifices and contributions of all Filipino heroes and the bravery they exemplified for our people.

This year’s commemoration will include an unveiling of the monument ‘Unsung Heroes,’ also at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER, ADVOCATE PRACTITIONER

Hello, and welcome to BISAYA LAGI!!

My name is B**G LINAO, and I am honoured to be the founder of this advocacy-driven platform. This project is very close to my heart because, like many of you, I have witnessed the journey of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) — the sacrifices they make, the silent struggles they endure, and the unwavering love that pushes them to work tirelessly for their families.

The idea for BISAYA LAGI!! started with a simple realization: while OFWs are often called modern-day heroes, there are not enough spaces that truly tell their stories in an honest and empowering way. Many families only see the surface of life abroad, but few fully understand the depth of challenges that come with distance, culture shock, and the longing for home.

Through this platform, I wanted to create more than just a blog — I wanted to build a community. A safe, inspiring, and supportive space where families, friends, and kababayan's can come together to celebrate victories, share lessons, and find comfort in knowing they are not alone in this journey.

As a founder, my vision is to make BISAYA LAGI!! a place where:

Motivational stories of real OFWs are shared to inspire hope and perseverance.

Informative content helps families understand the realities of life abroad, without bias or sugar coating.

Community connections are strengthened, reminding us all that behind every OFW is a family working just as hard to keep dreams alive.

I believe every story matters. Every sacrifice deserves recognition. Every triumph, no matter how small, is a celebration of the resilience of the Filipino spirit.

BISAYA LAGI!! is my way of honouring that spirit — of shining a light on the strength of our kababayans abroad, and of building bridges that connect hearts across borders.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Together, let’s keep uplifting each other with stories of truth, hope, and inspiration.

✨ Padayon ta. Together, we move forward.

BISAYA LAGI Celebrates Maritime and Archipelagic Awareness Month

Raise the flag, our symbol of heritage and sovereignty 🇵🇭

Join us in proudly raising the Philippine flag on 1 September 2025 (Monday), 8:00 a.m., at the Independence Flagpole, Rizal Park Luneta, for the Flag Raising Ceremony, in celebration of Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO).

“Mana” means heritage, and our maritime domains are an integral part of that legacy. This year’s theme, “Nagkakaisang Kapuluan, Panatag na Karagatan,” embodies our aspiration for calm and peaceful seas as one solid Filipino nation.

As we raise our flag, we honor our collective efforts in promoting our heritage and protecting our waters. See you at Rizal Park Luneta!
