This year, we celebrate two major milestones: the Royal Canadian Legion’s 100th anniversary and Mirror Branch 189’s 80th anniversary, founded on April 2.

This week’s activities include pull tickets, a 50/50 draw, and a meat draw beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Looking ahead to June 27, we’ll be hosting a BBQ. Details will be shared in next week’s post.

This year marks two important milestones: the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion and the 80th anniversary of Mirror Branch 189, which was established on April 2.

This week’s activities include pull tickets, a 50/50 draw, and a meat draw starting at 4:00 p.m.

We held our third annual Bunnock Tournament last Saturday, and it was a wonderful day for everyone. Congratulations to Bonnie for organizing the event and thank you to Gale and all the members who brought food for lunch. A special thank you also goes to Shawn for serving the best burgers in town. Congratulations to Pat’s team on winning again this year.

On Sunday, June 14, the Executive Meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m., followed by the General Meeting at 1:00 p.m.

This year celebrates two major milestones: the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion and the 80th anniversary of Mirror Branch 189, established on April 2.

This week’s activities feature pull tickets, a 50/50 draw, and a meat draw beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Thank you to Joanne for providing treats for last week’s end-of-the-month birthdays.

This Saturday is our third annual Bunnock Tournament.
The tournament begins at 9:00 a.m.
The tournament is limited to eight teams, 8 teams have signed up.

Don’t forget our 3rd Annual Bunnock Tournament.
As of May 28, the tournament is full.

The tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. on June 6, 2026, at the Mirror Legion.

The entry fee is $60.00 per team, and lunch at the Legion is included.

The tournament is limited to eight teams, so sign up as soon as possible.

Each mixed team must have four players, and at least one team member must be a Mirror Legion member.

Registration and payment must be completed by May 31, 2026.

Once again, Gale and her team provided a wonderful lunch for everyone. Thank you to all who contributed food.

Our long-weekend raffle was a great success. Members donated 12 prizes, and the Legion food donation boxes were filled generously. We delivered the raffle proceeds of $589.00, along with the donated food, to the Veterans Food Bank.

The lucky raffle prize winners were:
Lorraine, Heather, Bonnie, Earl, Ant, Mike, Shawn, Francine, Jody, Bryan, Rick, and Ruth.

This year marks two milestones: the Royal Canadian Legion s 100th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of Mirror Branch 189 (founded April 2).

This week s activities include pull tickets, a 50/50 draw, and a meat draw starting at 4:00 p.m. Branch members will also provide a free lunch for everyone no membership required.

Don t miss our long-weekend raffle, members have lined up some great prizes, and our Legion donation boxes are continuing to fill with food items. Raffle proceeds and donated food will support the Veterans Food Bank. The raffle will begin during the meat draw; there are currently 12 prizes, and you re welcome to donate an additional prize by bringing it with you.

Watch for Joanne and Joe in the little red car in the parade, they ll have plenty of candy.
