Every Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm, visit the FreshPal Farms Farmstand to pick up delicious, Alberta-grown, fresh produce and free-range eggs.

Veggie selection varies throughout the summer as new crops ripen. Their tomatoes are sweet and delicious. Try them!

NEW location this year - look for the white van and canopy tent in the LRT parking lot off Shawnee Drive SW.

Neighbour Day in Shawnee Evergreen was a gathering where community spirit, neighbourliness and connection building were front and center!

At our 3rd Annual Picnic in the Park:
🎶 The band created the perfect vibe
🍔 🌭 BBQ was tasty and no long lineups!
⭐️ Facepainting, games, tie dye T-shirts, and more with the 80 ft inflatable obstacle course and 20ft target game and more were so much fun!

Residents also provided feedback and learned more about SECA's Art Project (funded by Calgary Arts Development), Gathering Space & Community Garden Project.

Our appreciation to all of financial contributors, especially Servus Credit Union, Cardel Homes Calgary, and a Neighbour Grant from the City. Thanks for investing in our work to build physical and mental health through the power of connection.

Thanks also to Trellis Society, Trico Centre for Family Wellness, Calgary Municipal Land Corporation, Planet Youth Calgary, and F45 Training Shawnessy for joining us as we celebrated Neighbour Day.

Anya, our Community Connector, was there too - chatting about how we could come together to make Shawnee Evergreen even better by tapping into the gifts and talents already here.

So many people and organizations contributed alongside our many volunteers! Special thanks to all the Youth Central. volunteers - so helpful!

And lastly our appreciation to our wonderful neighbours at Calgary Evergreen Community Association
for sharing their equipment.

🌦️ **A Note About SECA's Picnic in the Park on Neighbour Day - June 20**

We've been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, and as every Calgarian knows, the forecast can change five times before lunch!

At this point, it's simply too early to make a decision about Saturday's Picnic in the Park. We'll continue monitoring conditions and will make a final call on Saturday morning if necessary.

In the meantime, we're staying optimistic. Our volunteers have been working hard for months; the food has been purchased, the activities are ready to go, and we're looking forward to welcoming hundreds of neighbours for a day of connection, fun, and community spirit to celebrate Neighbour Day!

We're hoping Mother Nature cooperates so we can spend the day together in the park, enjoying the BBQ, treats, and plenty of smiles.

Hang in there with us, Calgary. We'll keep you posted, and please join us in willing the sun to come out on Saturday! ☀️
