Get excited, West Hillhurst! 💖

Sunday, September 13th, 2026 is the date to mark in your calendars for our annual CLOTHING SWAP! It’s the perfect opportunity to:

✨ Refresh your style without spending a dime.
🌍 Reduce textile waste and cut back on carbon emissions.

👋 Meet your neighbors and build a greener community.

We'll be in the WHCA Hospitality Room (1940 6 Ave NW) from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. You can bring up to 20 items of women's gently used or new clothing to swap for new treasures! (Please see the image for full "Gently Used" guidelines and a list of what not to bring).

Plus, you can feel good knowing that all unclaimed clothing will be donated to the Women In Need Society (WINS). 🤝

Tag your friends who need a closet clean-out or are looking for some sustainable fashion finds!

Dear WHCA Facility Users,

The City has asked all facilities to reduce water usage until the water restrictions have been lifted. WHCA has enacted our water reduction plan, while maintaining the activities and services our members and patrons expect.

To support this effort, the following measures will be in place for the duration of the restrictions:

No outdoor water usage, including outdoor rink flooding.

Reduced arena flooding, where it is safe to do so, primarily during light-use times and minor activities.

Reduced shower usage in arena and fitness centre dressing rooms — short, quick showers are appreciated.

By implementing these measures, we can help conserve water while repairs are completed on the broken water main. We sincerely thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this time.
