Today was a great day! Weather was perfect and the bugs were at a minimum. The RCMP put together an awesome car wash and BBQ! Our team did a fabulous job helping to wash cars and trucks and atvs… oh my!

We’ve been busy! We’ve freshened up our look with a new, one of a kind, RedFish counter and made a super cool giant fish out of a bunch of fish. So creative boys!!!

The entire Red Fish team would like to extend our very best wishes to our friend and board member, Shane Walker, Cambridge Bay’s most recent past Detachment Commander, and his family—Mary Jane, Desmond, and Simon—as they embark on an exciting new journey in Nova Scotia.

Thank you, Shane, for all that you have done for our organization and for the Cambridge Bay community. Your dedication, leadership, and friendship have made a lasting impact, and we are deeply grateful for your contributions.

While we are sad to see you and your family leave, we wish you every success and happiness in this next chapter. You will all be truly missed, and you will always be part of the Red Fish family.

Great article, except we did ask they refrain from using the word apprenticeship - which we are not.

Since 2018, the Red Fish Art Studio in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, has been a second home for at-risk youth in the community, where they are trained in welding and put to work making signs and artworks out of scrap metal.
