🌟 Scholarship Graduate Spotlight 🌟

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month in Canada — a time to strengthen our collective defenses and highlight the importance of building a safer digital future.

At the Women CyberSecurity Society (WCS2) — the first organization dedicated to the advancement and retention of women in cybersecurity in Canada since 2018 — we’re doing just that through scholarships, training, workshops, mentorship, and community programs that help grow and retain talent across the country.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate one of those success stories in our latest graduate feature:
➡️ “Breaking Barriers in Cyber: An Impactful Journey with WCS2”

This graduate’s journey is a true testament to what’s possible when opportunity, education, and community support come together. Through the WCS2 + Google Cybersecurity Career Certificate Scholarship, she gained industry-recognized skills, built confidence, and charted her path forward in cybersecurity — inspiring the next generation to follow.

✨ Her story reflects what WCS2 stands for: recruiting, retraining, and retaining women in cybersecurity while breaking down barriers and tipping the scale toward equity — and, ultimately, helping to make Canada more secure.
