It’s that time of year again! Our members are keen to look at steers, make their picks and prepare for weigh in day!

As we look forward to the 2026-2027 year we recognized the excellence in record keeping from last year. Congratulations to Dalton Dorran, Chick Harvie, Aubrey Smith-Fraser & Harper Walker for winning within their respective age categories!

Our club discussed the elements of the club they enjoyed most and looked at improvements for this next year.

The updates from our members at the Canadian Junior All Breeds show keep rolling in…next, Hawkin Mader!

He was Intermediate National Young Cattleman, Intermediate Western Canadian Judging Champion, Champion Purebred Female & won the Simmental Run for the Roses.

Our young members were on a roll in Bashaw!

Dalton Dorran helped his brother show the Grand Champion PeeWee. Tel Harvie teamed up with brothers Dalton & Tucker to win PeeWee Grooming Grand Champion Team!

Dalton Dorran was awarded PeeWee Aggregate. What a week!

The High Steaks Junior Beef Club prides itself on mentorship within our club. Those helping hands don’t end on achievement day, they continue through the year.

Last week, many members participated in the highly competitive Canadian All Breeds Junior Show in Bashaw, Alberta.

Pictured you’ll see one of our youngest members, Reina Sullivan learning the ropes from Sr. member Tinley Harvie, Jr. Member Lyla Harvie along with past member C**t Needham (moved to Sk but still considered part of the HSJBC in many ways!).

Congratulations to Reina on a couple class winners and Peewee Champion Bull Calf!
