TRUST HIM... EVEN WHEN IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT'S GOING TO WORK OUT

Trust is easy when life makes sense.

It's much harder when you've prayed, waited, done everything you know to do... and the situation still looks impossible.

But that's exactly where trust becomes faith.

πŸ“– "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

God never promised we would understand every season.

He asked us to trust Him through it.

We see what's happening right now.
God sees what we can't.

Sometimes the door stays closed.
Sometimes the answer takes longer than we hoped.
Sometimes the provision doesn't appear until the very moment we need it.

And sometimes God's plan looks nothing like ours.

But none of that means He has stopped working.

Fear needs to know how everything will work out.

Faith rests in knowing WHO God is.

πŸ“– "There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear." - 1 John 4:18 (MSG)

The more we know the Father's heart, the more we realize that our peace doesn't have to depend on our circumstances.

We can trust His character when we can't trace His hand.

Maybe you're facing something right now that simply doesn't add up.

You don't need to have tomorrow figured out.

You just need enough faith for today's step.

πŸ™ Lord, I trust You. Help me trust You more. Show me where fear is keeping me from fully surrendering to You. I give You what I understand and what I don't. Lead me, and help me follow.

When you can't see what God is doing, don't mistake silence for absence.

He's still there.

And He's still worthy of your trust.

THEY TRIED TO DISPROVE JESUS... AND ENDED UP BELIEVING.

Some people came to Christianity because they were searching for God.

Others came because they were trying to prove Christianity wrong.

And I LOVE those stories!!

People have examined the historical claims surrounding Jesus intending to expose Christianity as false .... only to become convinced that the evidence deserved far more serious consideration than they expected.

Lee Strobel was an atheist and investigative journalist. After his wife became a Christian, he began investigating Christianity, hoping to challenge what she believed. He later became a Christian and wrote The Case for Christ (it's also.a movie if you don't read much).

J. Warner Wallace was also an atheist asnqell as a cold-case homicide detective! He approached the Gospels using the same kinds of reasoning he used when examining eyewitness testimony when on the job. His investigation eventually led him to Christianity.

C.S. Lewis spent years as an atheist before becoming a theist and eventually a Christian. His intellectual journey led him from rejecting God to becoming one of the most influential Christian writers of the 20th century.

Josh McDowell has described beginning his investigation determined to discredit Christianity. Instead, he became CONVINCED that Christianity's claims could withstand serious examination and became a Christian apologist!

Now, you might not consider their conversions as PROOF that Christianity is true.
Simply because people can change their minds for many reasons.

BuIT... their stories DESTROY one common misconception:

Christianity doesn't require you to stop asking questions.

It makes historical claims like:

Jesus lived.
Jesus was crucified.
His followers proclaimed that He had risen from the dead.
And Christianity exploded outward from that proclamation despite enormous opposition.

So, if you haven't already .....
investigate it!

Ask the uncomfortable questions!
Examine the earliest sources!
Study the resurrection!
Look at the arguments against Christianity too!

Because......real Truth....
doesn't need protection from investigation.

πŸ“– "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with ALL your heart." - Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)

Maybe you're reading this as a skeptic.

Good!

Keep asking questions!

Because you might begin your investigation trying to explain Jesus away...
and discover He's much harder to dismiss than you thought!

WHEN MOST WOULD LET GO... HOLD ON.

There comes a point in some battles where quitting almost makes sense.

You've prayed.
You've waited.
You've cried until there aren't many tears left.

You've done everything you know to do...

And still, nothing seems to be changing.

This is where perseverance becomes more than a nice Christian word.
It becomes a decision.

A decision to trust God when you can't see what He's doing.

A decision to keep praying when heaven feels quiet.

A decision to keep obeying even when obedience is costly.

Or a decision to keep following Jesus when walking away would be easier.

Jesus said:

πŸ“– "The one who stands firm to the end will be saved." - Matthew 24:13 (NIV)

Notice He didn't say following Him would always be easy...

Scripture repeatedly calls believers to endure.

πŸ“– "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus..." - Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)

Sometimes faith looks victorious.

Sometimes faith looks like worshipping with your hands raised.

And sometimes...
Faith looks like barely hanging on - but refuses to let go.

Maybe you're in that place right now.

You don't feel strong.
You don't feel courageous.
You don't feel like you're conquering anything.
But you're still here.
Still praying.
Still believing.
Still choosing Jesus.
And still choosing to fight the good fight of faith.

Don't underestimate what God can do with a person who simply refuses to quit.
The enemy doesn't need you to stop believing everything.

He just needs to convince you to stop walking.
Stop praying.
Stop trusting.
Stop getting back up.

But Scripture says:

πŸ“– "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." - Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

IF WE DO NOT GIVE UP.

There are seasons when perseverance won't look impressive.
It might simply look like taking one more tiny step.
Whispering one more prayer.
Opening your Bible one more time.
Or choosing forgiveness... again.

Getting back up...
one more time.

You don't have to see the finish line to keep moving toward it.

You just have to keep your eyes on Jesus.

So when most would let go...
HOLD ON!!

Not because you're strong enough.
But because the One you're holding onto is.

Keep going.
Keep believing.
Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

Persevere to the end. ❀️

LOVE WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE FINAL WORD. ❀️

Evil can be loud.
Cruelty can be devastating.
Hatred can wound.
And darkness can make us wonder where God is in the middle of it all.

But darkness has NEVER been stronger than light.

And evil has NEVER been stronger than the love of God!

The greatest example is the CROSS...

What looked like evil's greatest victory actually became its greatest defeat...

They mocked Jesus.
Beat Him.
Rejected Him.
Nailed Him to a cross.
And then buried Him.

For three days, it looked like darkness had won....

But then Sunday came...
And the stone was rolled away!

The tomb was EMPTY!
Death had been forever defeated.
And LOVE walked out alive!

πŸ“– "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:5 (NIV)

That's something we need to remember when the world feels especially dark...

God never promised that evil wouldn't have its moment.
He promised it wouldn't have the FINAL WORD.

So don't let hatred... turn you hateful.

Don't let cruelty...make you cruel.

And don't let someone else's darkness... extinguish the light God placed in you.

Love when it's difficult.
Forgive when it costs you something.
Speak truth without becoming hateful or condescending.
And show mercy without compromising what is right.

Pray for the people you would rather fight.
Because biblical love isn't weakness.
Jesus showed us exactly how powerful love really is.

Evil put Him on a cross.
LOVE TURNED THAT CROSS INTO VICTORY!!

And one day, EVERY trace of evil, suffering, mourning and death will be gone forever.

πŸ“– "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain..." - Revelation 21:4 (NIV)

Evil might seem to win some battles.

But through Jesus Christ...
LOVE WINS THE WAR. ❀️

β˜€οΈ YOU DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE IN GOD TO FIND THIS REMARKABLE

Forget religion for a moment.

Just look at the science.

Earth orbits the Sun at an average distance of about 150 million kilometres (93 million miles).

At that distance, Earth receives enough solar energy for liquid water and life as we know it to exist. Scientists describe the region around a star where liquid water could exist on a planet's surface as the habitable zone - often called the Goldilocks Zone.

Not too hot.

Not too cold.

But there's more to it than simply being the "right distance."

Earth's atmosphere, greenhouse effect, orbit, rotation, magnetic field, oceans, and the characteristics of the Sun itself all contribute to the conditions that make this planet habitable.

Move a planet significantly closer to its star and increased solar energy can make surface conditions hostile to life.

Move it significantly farther away and temperatures can become too cold for stable liquid water.

Science explains how these conditions work remarkably well.

But there's another question science itself doesn't settle:

Why does a universe governed by consistent physical laws contain conditions capable of supporting conscious beings who can study those laws?

An atheist may answer:

Chance.
Natural processes.
Selection effects.
Given enough planets, eventually one suitable for observers should exist.

Those are legitimate arguments worth discussing.

But Christianity makes a very different claim.

It says the life-permitting order we observe isn't ultimately accidental.

It was intended.

Thousands of years before anyone calculated Earth's orbit or described a circumstellar habitable zone, Scripture said:

πŸ“– "God made two great lights - the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night." - Genesis 1:16 (NIV)

And then:

πŸ“– "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." - Psalm 19:1 (NIV)

If you're an atheist, I'm not asking you to pretend this proves Christianity in one Facebook post.

I'm asking something simpler:

Look at the evidence and allow yourself to ask the bigger question.

Why is there something rather than nothing?

Why does nature operate according to intelligible laws?

Why does our planet possess such an extraordinary combination of life-permitting conditions?

And why are we here - conscious minds capable of discovering them?

Maybe creation isn't the Creator.

But maybe...

creation is pointing toward One.

πŸ“– "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made..." - Romans 1:20 (NIV)

Don't be afraid to follow the evidence wherever it leads.

Worshiping isn't meant for the congregation. It's not meant to only be sung on Sundays...
it's not even always a song!

Worship is the heart posture you bring to the Lord, in which you express your love and gratitude for Him and Him alone.

Worship should only EVER be for an audience of 1.
