Sweet girl Mae…you will be missed.

While your time here was brief, your life mattered. 🪽🌈

This sweet young girl was with us only a few hours. When she arrived her body temp was already too low. We were able to slowly raise it to a safe point where we could begin feeding a small amount of milk. She took that milk well, and she settled in for another rest.

Sadly her body was too weak to push onward. She was without a mom for a week, and with the finder for 4 days. While they had some experience with helping small ones in the past, this girl wasn’t eating well. Within half an hour of receiving their message she was in our hands, and soon after receiving care with us.

We don’t know why mama disappeared, why her siblings died and disappeared, but sadly outdoor life, especially for kittens, is brutally hard.

We thank all of our supporters for their continued faith in our mission, helping us run at a moments notice to help little ones like this. Unfortunately there isn’t always a happy outcome. 😫

Another day, another orphaned kitten. 💔

This tiny little one was found alone on a farm not far from us. Sadly, one sibling had already passed away, and their mother cat is nowhere to be found. We don’t know where mama went, and we don’t know what happened to any other siblings.

At just 3 to 4 weeks old, this little kitten arrived in rough shape. Their body temperature was so low that we couldn’t even get a reading. Right now, they’re tucked safely into an incubator set to 30°C with added humidity, where the only priority is getting their temperature back up to a safe range.

Until then, feeding isn’t an option. A kitten this cold can’t properly digest food, so we’re taking things one step at a time. We’ve given a small amount of syrup on their gums for a quick energy boost, and now we’re hoping rest, warmth, and time will help them recover enough to start a feeding schedule soon.

It’s always heartbreaking to see kittens arrive in this condition, but we’ve seen some incredible little fighters over the years. Tonight, we’re hoping this tiny soul is one of them.

Please keep this little one in your thoughts as they settle in, warm up, and hopefully begin their journey toward a brighter future. ❤️🐾

🚗🐾 Honeysuckle is hitting the road! 🐾🚗

Our tiny traveler has packed his imaginary suitcase and is on his way to one of our incredible foster homes! While we’ve loved caring for this sweet little guy, young kittens thrive when they have other kittens to grow up with, and Honeysuckle is about to get exactly that.

He’s heading to a foster home with an amazing bottle-feeding expert and, even better, a group of slightly older kittens who will help show him the ropes. From learning important kitten social skills to finding the best spots for cuddles and naps, these new friends will help Honeysuckle grow into a confident, happy cat.

Kittens learn so much from each other. They’ll provide warmth, comfort, companionship, and plenty of opportunities for playtime and mischief. And let’s be honest, being the youngest sibling in the group has its perks too. ❤️

Safe travels, little Honeysuckle! We can’t wait to watch you blossom surrounded by friends. 🌼🐱

🏡🐾 ROOMIES WANTED… OR BETTER YET, FOREVER HOMES! 🐾🏡

Thomas and Simon have officially moved into their bachelor pad at Pet Valu Diamond Valley, and while they’re making themselves right at home, what they really want is a family of their own!

🐆 Thomas is the social director of the household. Need help folding laundry? Thomas is there. Working from home? Thomas has notes. Watching TV? Thomas would like to discuss the plot. This handsome wildcat-lookalike is convinced that every activity is better with a kitten involved, and honestly, he’s probably right. Friendly, outgoing, and full of opinions, Thomas is ready to be your constant companion.

🧡 Simon is the quieter roommate. He’s more of the “watch first, investigate later” type. This tiny orange guy may be a little cautious when meeting new people, but every day his confidence grows. Once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll discover a playful, mischievous kitten with a huge personality hiding inside that small orange body. Simon is proof that some of the best friendships take a little time to build.

Together, they’re turning heads and charming visitors at Pet Valu Diamond Valley, but we’d love nothing more than to see them packing their bags for forever homes.

🎉 Happy Tails Times Two! 🎉

Some days in rescue are especially sweet, and today is one of those days.

First up is Elijah, now known as Bear! 🐻❤️

Bear grew up with us here in rescue, and we’ve had the privilege of watching him transform from a tiny kitten into the handsome cat he is today. While it’s always a little bittersweet to say goodbye to cats who have spent so much of their lives with us, we couldn’t be happier about where Bear’s journey has led him.

His new home is a wonderful bed and breakfast where he’ll have furry companions to keep him company and a steady stream of interesting humans to meet along the way. We have a feeling Bear is going to take his new role as official greeter, supervisor, and all-around charmer very seriously. We can’t wait to hear about all of his adventures!

And then there’s Henry. ❤️

After recently undergoing his neuter surgery, Henry was finally ready to begin his search for a forever family. As fate would have it, someone came across his profile, felt an instant connection, and dropped everything to come meet him at today’s adoption event.

Sometimes things just click.

The meeting was wonderful, the application was exactly what we hope to see, and before the day was over, Henry was heading home with his new family. We love when a cat’s wait for a home is short, but we love it even more when it’s clearly the perfect match.

Congratulations, Bear and Henry! We are so grateful to the families who chose to open their hearts and homes to these deserving boys. Thank you for giving them the futures they’ve been waiting for.

Now go enjoy your new lives, boys. You’ve earned them. 🏡❤️🐾

A lil’ update on Honeysuckle! 🐈 🍯

This boy is a hungry little hamster, he’s learning how to get around a ni**le, and now sucks back kitten milk at about .5mL per gulp! 🥛

While his eyes got a little inflamed in the latter part of yesterday and sealed themselves shut, we cleaned them gently and started some drops and it’s already helping tremendously!

He’s a little bit messy with the kitten milk and if you’re familiar with that stuff, it likes to become one with fur. So we do clean him as best we can with out being too irritating, but we certainly aren’t mama cats, so it’s not perfect.

Below you’ll see his cute little face and his growth chart in just two days! 📈
