In 2025, we will be celebrating our 55th year at this location. Our club was organized to preserve & promote the game of Horseshoes.

It’s with great sadness that one of our long standing member has passed away yesterday. He was a 7 time BC men’s 40’ Champion. He was a good person & friend to all he came in contact with. Rest in Peace Jim Ball he was 99 years young and he will always be remembered he was also a member of the HOF

So Abbotsford held a tournament on July 6 & Bob Salisbury & Myself (Allan) attended it was another hot day. I was fortunate to make the podium in third place.
I want to thank Abbotsford horseshoe club for putting on another successful tournament.
And just a reminder Cloverdale horseshoe club next tournament will be held July 20th and that will be the last tournament until the BC Champs on Labour Day weekend and it will be held in Abbotsford looking forward to more good pitching by all who attend.

It’s been awhile since the club has last posted.
So the club has increased in membership as we are also offering the opportunity to play and learn the game of horseshoes everyday Monday- Saturday from 1-3pm
Also members can learn to play co****le and other games. We have held two free lunches for members. The last one was held on Canada Day where with our new electric BBQ we cooked up hotdogs & hamburgers. It was a fun time by all who attended and we look forward to doing it again in the near future.
Gaetan organized a small horseshoe tournament and even though it was hot out it was a success.

We celebrated Harry’s 100th birthday at the club on Saturday April 05 2025
Harry is our oldest member of our club.
His sense of humour makes everyone enjoy his company when he is in the same room.
It was well attended with friends and family including his 3 children.

Burnaby’s Central Park Horseshoe Club is hosting an open house on Saturday, Nov. 30 for Sports Day in Canada. Club president Jim Ball is hoping people will come out to join the club or try their hand at throwing horseshoes.
